Army Corps forecasts high water level for Lake Superior

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has just released their latest monthly forecasts for Lake Superior water levels. The 6 month forecasts that come from the Corps are thought to be among the best indicators available. Their ‘most probable’ model is thought to be extremely accurate, especially in the shorter 3 month term. Forecasts for Lake Superior predict that the water level will surpass the monthly average record in June, and may very well exceed the record in July as well. People living and visiting Superior’s shores will undoubtedly see the impact of high water and erosion in the area. The Corps also predicts high water levels on Lake Michigan and Lake Huron as well.
