Boaters returning to Bayport Marina are finding a new GM in charge of operations there. The Bayport Marina Association (BMA) has installed Kori Derrick-Cisewski as General Manager according to Brien Slawik, Bayport’s Commodore. Kori is no stranger to Bayport Marina or its membership, having served in another capacity there for the last four years. Prior to her acceptance of the GM post, Kori acted as Office Manager at Bayport. She became the Interim GM in January of this year, and was named GM in May. She credits those years of service to the membership as critical to her skill development there. She is also appreciative of the time she was able to spend working with past GM Cliff Lewis in helping to prepare her to lead in her latest role. She describes the selection process to become the new GM as a “very humbling experience“. Kori is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she studied Marketing and Accounting. Originally from New Richmond, Kori still lives there today with her husband and two small children. While she has travelled extensively, she is happy to be home and feels blessed to be working alongside the beautiful St. Croix river. In her spare time, Kori enjoys any number of summer activities and also enjoys creating metal stamped jewelry. She and her family enjoy occasional trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where her husband has roots. Kori says that she wants Bayport Marina to be a fun and relaxing place for its members. At the same time, she is committed to the continued growth of Bayport’s reputation as one of the very best Marinas anywhere in the Midwest.
Bayport Marina boasts some 20+ transient slips so whether it’s meal at Mallards or attending one of the great Marine Max Bayport events, there’s just no reason not to stop in and get to know the place. She says her door is always open.
We congratulate Kori on her new role and wish her much success at beautiful Bayport Marina!
