Local Boating Radio Show Changes Channels

By Bruce Claflin, Scuttlebutt Magazine

Our favorite local boating radio show “Boating with Wolf Marine and Tetzlaff Yacht Sales” is changing channels. The show, which is produced by John Tetzlaff of Tetzlaff Yacht Sales, and Erik Wolf of Wolf Marine, was forced to move due to the closing of radio station KLBB am in Stillwater. The 2 year old show which has been very well received by the boating community, has found a new home on the Big Q 95.9 FM.

On the weekly show, Wolf and Tetzlaff discuss a variety of topics of interest to Minnesota boaters. The two, who are experts in their own right, engage guests who bring relevant information meant to educate and enlighten the boating public. According To Erik Wolf, this is the only show of its kind in our area. Eric tells Scuttlebutt that they have received very positive feedback on their programming and have some great guests lined up for future shows going into the summer season. The show airs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. You can check www.tetzlaffyachtsales.com or www.bigqradio.com for exact show times and archived episodes.

Both Tetzlaff and Wolf have long histories in the local boating community. Tetzlaff was recently named ‘Best Boat Dealer’ in the St. Croix Valley by readers of a local newspaper. He says that he “takes pride in the Tetzlaff name” and wants boaters to know that he is there for them before and after the sale. Based on the aforementioned Readers Choice Award, they know that. We wish the best of luck to Tetzlaff and Wolf on their new radio home. Thanks for enriching the local boating community for all of us.
