The Minnesota Clean Marina Program is a voluntary, incentive-based program that goes beyond simple compliance to foster outstanding environmental stewardship by marina owners, operators and recreational boaters through the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for reducing pollution and protecting Minnesota waterways. There are over 300 (BMP’s) in the Minnesota Clean Marina Program. In order to be qualified to become Certified, each Marina must follow 100% of all “Required” (BMP’s) that apply to their operation and 65% of all “Optional” BMP’s that apply to their operation.

The Minnesota Clean Marina Program is very excited to welcome Bills Bay Marina in Red Wing, proudly represented by Zach Paider, as our lucky 13th Certified Minnesota Clean Marina. Zach attended our first ever “Work Shop” event in March of 2017 and aggressively moved forward to become a Certified Minnesota Clean Marina. Members of the Minnesota Clean Marina Certification Committee performed a site visit of Bills Bay Marina with Zach on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017. The site visit went very well indeed and the Committee signed off on the Certification.

Congratulations to Bills Bay Marina and Zach Paider for their efforts to become a Certified Minnesota Clean Marina.
