Since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, the 3760’s unique blend of style, performance and features has led this legendary Regal to become one of the most copied 38-footers in history. Since its debut in 2004, many of its innovative features have been incorporated into competitive models.
“We wanted to create the best 38-foot express available,” says Duane Kuck, Regal president and CEO. “We started by listing all the features we thought would exceed our customers’ expectations: elegant profile, high performance and refined layout. The enhancements we’ve made in 2009 has kept the 3760 in front of the pack.”
For cockpit appointments, the 3760 is second to none. Entertaining is natural with the innovative cockpit-forward seating arrangement; the crescent shaped seating places the passengers on the same level as the helm, making the trip as social as the end destination. Insert the teak table for casual dining or recess it with a filler cushion for a lounge — the cockpit is as adaptable as the venues it supports. Adding to the atmosphere is the refreshment center with Corian countertop. When equipped with the optional refrigerator/icemaker unit, owners no longer have to choose between one or the other. Refreshments are a natural compliment when served with the optional cockpit TV. The optional hard top and Euro sun lounge are features only now beginning to be replicated on competitors’ boats. Access to the foredeck is safe, as the stainless windshield opens to reveal molded-in steps and handrail. Style, function and innovation are evident and harmonious.
The solid, handcrafted cherry steps that lead into the cabin are a precursor to the level of luxury found below. The tone continues with the solid cherry and holly salon flooring. Innovation is also evident with the first private forward stateroom, with sliding hardwood door. The master suite is made all the more comfortable with the standard queen-sized innerspring mattress. Relax with the built-in recliner on the LeatherCrest wrapped salon sofa. This is the perfect spot to stretch out and view the 23-inch flat screen TV. The well appointed cabin is well suited to become your home away from home.
Despite trip length or sea conditions, Regal’s OceanTrac hull delivers a soft and dry ride with minimal bow rise. It’s imperative that the hull be balanced in proportion to its load and dimensions. Regal invests the time and resources to individually design every hull and running surface; a reason why every Regal sport yacht has a different degree of deadrise. In terms of propulsion, Regal offers the traditional V-drive package and an I/O package.
With the introduction of Volvo’s Ocean Series systems and EVC (electronic vessel control), owners now receive the best of both drive packages.
Regal Marine Industries designs and manufactures luxury performance boats from 19 feet to 53 feet, and in 2008 became the first boat builder to receive J.D. Power and Associates awards in two segments, twice; “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Express Cruisers (24 to 33 feet) and Small Runabouts (16 to 19 feet).”
