Yamaha was the number one selling brand in the 21-foot and the 23-foot open bow runabout boat categories for the 2009 selling season, according to state registration data for the period of October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009.
This is the first time that Yamaha boats have finished first in the 21-foot category, while Yamaha’s 23-foot boats have led their category since 2005. All told, Yamaha was the top selling brand in the entire 20-foot to 25-foot open bow runabout segment.
“Customers have high expectations in today’s marketplace. They want the most standard features, the latest in technology, the most amenities and top performance, all in a package with the best price,” said Yamaha WaterCraft National Marketing Manager Bryan Seti. “By creating 21- and 23-foot boats that offer more features, innovation and performance than models that cost thousands of dollars more, our boats appeal to a wide range of buyers and deliver the strongest value, which has propelled them to the top of both of their classes.”
For 2010, Yamaha introduced a line of 24-foot open-bow runabouts that builds on the success of its 23-foot boat line. The new 242 and 240 series boats are the largest, most powerful boats that Yamaha has offered, featuring an all-new deck and hull design and several industry-first innovations.
