Glastron produces first boat at Michigan plant
Glastron has produced its first boat on the new production line in the company’s Cadillac, Mich., manufacturing facility, according to the Recreational Boat Group. The move from Glastron’s Little Falls, Minn., factory to the Cadillac, Mich., plant began in February 2010.
The first unit, a 2011 DS 205 deck boat, rolled off the production line in July. The company said as the move to the Cadillac facility continues, product availability remains stable and on track.
Glastron produces 22 boat models ranging from 17 feet to 28 feet. The Recreational Boat Group, a division of Platinum Equity affiliate Project Boat Holdings LLC, manufactures and distributes Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft. The Fishing Boat Group of Project Boat Holdings includes the Ranger, Champion and Stratos brands.
